Green Card, Citizenship

Green Card and Naturalization

A Green Card (Permanent Resident Card) gives you official immigration status in the United States. It is required if you wish to naturalize as a U.S. Citizen. If you are not familiar with the immigration, visa or Green Card process and would like to apply for or renew a Green Card, contact us.

Green Card Services

Once foreigners begin living in the United States on an immigrant visa, they may be able to file for an adjustment of status and transition to a legal permanent resident, another word for green card-holder.

Applying for a green card while living outside the U.S. is a different process called Consular Processing.

In order to apply for a Green Card, you must be eligible. Eligibility categories include Green Card through Family, Green Card through Employment, Green Card as a Special Immigrant, Green Card through Refugee or Asylee Status. Your family members can also apply with you in most cases.

Once we’ve found the category that may fit your situation, we prepare your application and all accompanying documents, and submit it to USCIS. The average time it takes for a particular USCIS office to process the application, varies from 3 to 18 months. Your case status is frequently looked up by us. If you need to leave the United States temporarily while your application is pending, please call us to handle it.

Citizenship Services

After five (5) years of holding a Green Card you may undergo the process of naturalization to become a United States Citizen. The waiting period is three (3) years for green card holders whose spouses are United States citizens. The naturalization process requires that the person take a citizenship test and an oath.
